To celebrate the upcoming holidays and provide festive joy to the community, the Mining District staff is planning to start the community college’s annual Christmas celebration from 5-6 pm. December 12, in the confluence area of the Art and Science Building.
The event is free and open to the public.
In addition to the annual tree lighting, festival music, hot cocoa cookies, decorative stockings and children’s visits with Santa Claus, the children will receive gifts directly from the North Pole.
MAC Assistant Erin Sites said: “All participants are looking forward to spreading Merry Christmas and enthusiasm to our community this year.” “MAC’s jazz band and MAC singer will be our evening entertainment. Mrs. Claus will Read “Night before Christmas”, and for the final ending, Santa will appear. Of course, he will not return empty-handed; he will certainly surprise all children.”
MAC employees will sell the opportunity to win the lottery tree and all proceeds will be donated to the university food store.
